In the Matter of Preston Schafnitz, Freedom of Information Act Request

Our office represents, Preston Schafnitz, concerning the incident that occurred on or about January 10, 2019 in the area of Mission Beach, California. According to California Public Records Act, California Government Code §6250, et seq., we are requesting the following:

1. Any and all documents of any contact by members of the Sam Diego Police Department - Western Division of Preston Schafnitz between January 10, 2019 through March 1, 2019, including, but not limited to field interview cards, computer/call logs of contacts.

In pertinent part, California Government Code §6253(c) states, "[e]ach agency, upon a request for a copy of records, shall, within 10 days from receipt of the request, determine whether the request, in whole or in part, seeks copies of disclosable public records ... "
