Request #20-1870
  Closed

I am requesting copies of these documents/records:

A spreadsheet with the number of health-related 911 or EMS calls for each zip code of origin from January 1, 2018 until the latest available date. Daily numbers would be great, but weekly totals would be sufficient.

The goal of this data is to complement publicly available records on the number of people hospitalized in each locality, as the virus has spread.

Note that records from 2018 and 2019 are for comparison with 2020. If data going farther back is available, that would be helpful as well.

Reason for request:

I am working with a team of economists at Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley and the University of Chicago to study the spread of Covid-19 and evaluate strategies for reopening the economy in terms of economic/epidemiological tradeoffs.
