RE: California Public Records Act Request

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a California Public Records Act request for all records responsive to the eight specific
requests I have enclosed with this letter.

Disclosure of these records is in the public's interest because the records contain information
relating to the habitability of publicly managed, low-income housing. Accordingly, I request you
waive the fees you would otherwise charge to provide them to me. If you will not waive your fees,
please provide me a written estimation of what you expect your fees will be and await my
confirmation to proceed. -

The California Public Records Act requires a response to this request within ten days. If you are
unable to provide me the records I request within that time, please advise me in writing when I can
expect them. If, in your response, you deny any or all of my specific document requests, please
cite each specific exemption you believe justifies your doing so and notify me of any appeal
procedures available to me 1mder the law. Further, if you know or suspect any other public entities
maintain any of the records I request, please identify such other entities in your response.

 

RECORD REQUESTS

1. All DOCUMENTS (1) RELATING T0 (2) PESTS (3) at HOTEL SANDFORD (4).

2. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO any observations, reports, or complaints of PESTS at HOTEL SANDFORD.

3. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO any investigation YOU (5) have conducted RELATING TO PESTS at HOTEL
SANDFORD.

4. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO any investigation YOU have conducted RELATING TO pest control at
HOTEL SANDFORD.

5. All COMMUNICATIONS (6) RELATING TO PESTS at HOTEL SANDFORD.

6. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO any action YOU have taken to compel abatement of any nuisance at
HOTEL SANDFORD relating to PESTS.

7. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO EXCIMEX (7)

8. All DOCUMENTS RELATING TO YOUR fulfillment of these Public Records Requests. 


1 "DOCUMENTS" means and refers to a writing, as defined in California Evidence Code section 250,
and includes the original or a copy of non-privileged handwriting, typewriting, printing,
photostats, photographs, electronically stored information, electronically generated, information,
and every other means of recording upon any tangible thing and form of communicating or
representation, including letters, words, pictures, sounds, or symbols, or combinations of them.
2 "RELATED TO" or "RELATING TO" means and should be construed in its broadest possible sense to
mean and include constituting, consisting or, concerning, mentioning, reflecting, discussing,
analyzing, explaining, memorializing, referring to, summarizing, describing, embodying, or
evidencing.
3 "PESTS" means and refers to bed bugs, cockroaches, spiders, scabies, termites, fleas, ants, bees,
flies, silverfish, mice, rats, and all other vexatious, non-domestic mammals and insects.
4 "HOTEL SANDFORD" means and refers to real property and the improvements thereon located at 1301
Fifth Avenue, San Diego, California 92101, also known as "The Sanford Hotel," "The Sandford Hotel,"
"Sanford Hotel," and "Sandford Hotel."
5 "YOU" and "YOUR" mean and refer to the San Diego City Attorney and all persons acting on its
behalf, including, but not limited to, current and former agents, representatives, officers,
independent contractors, investigators, attorneys, and employees.
6 "COMMUNICATIONS" means and refers to all inquiries, discussions, conversations, negotiations,
agreements, understandings, meetings, telephone conversations, letters, correspondence, notes,
transmittals, telegrams, telexes, facsimiles, e-mails or other form of oral, written or electronic
communication, however transmitted and however received.
7 "EXCIMEX" means and refers to Revolt Systems Corporation, a California corporation that does
business as "ExCimex" and "ExCimex IPM Partners," the primary address of which is 9830 Via Leslie,
