To whom it may concern:

Under the California Public Records Act § 6250 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that involve 9500 Mercy Road, San Diego, CA 92129, and specifically, the stretch of roadway traveling westbound on Mercy Road, west of Branicole Lane and ending at the intersection of Mercy Road and Black Mountain Road (the “Subject Roadway”).

Public record requested herein include:

• Any and all records related to complaints of hazards upon the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present, including complaints related to manholes;

• Any and all records related to any motor vehicle accidents, if any, on the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present;

• Any and all records related to the maintenance of manholes and/or manhole covers on the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present;

• Any and all records related to the inspection of manholes and/or manhole covers on the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present;

• Any and all records related to the installation of manholes and/or manhole covers on the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present;

• Any and all records tending to indicate the party/parties responsible for the installation and maintenance of manholes and/or manhole covers on the Subject Roadway during the time period January 1, 2012 to present;

• Any and all records related to complaints regarding the existence of trees within the center median dividing the Subject Roadway from the eastbound lanes of travel on Mercy Road between Black Mountain Road and Branicole Lane.

• Any and all records related to the removal of trees within the center median dividing the Subject Roadway from the eastbound lanes of travel on Mercy Road between Black Mountain Road and Branicole Lane.

• Any and all records related to the maintenance of the center median, which divides the Subject Roadway from the from the eastbound lanes of travel on Mercy Road between Black Mountain Road and Branicole Lane.

• Any and all records related to complaints regarding the existence or nonexistence of guardrail(s) separating the lanes of travel on the Subject Roadway and the center median dividing the Subject Roadway from the eastbound lanes of travel on Mercy Road between Black Mountain Road and Branicole Lane.

• Any and all records related to the removal of guardrail(s) separating the lanes of travel on the Subject Roadway and the center median dividing the Subject Roadway from the eastbound lanes of travel on Mercy Road between Black Mountain Road and Branicole Lane.

• Any and all records related in any way to the maintenance of the Subject Roadway.

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $500.00. 

The California Public Records Act requires a response within ten business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.

If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
